Who processes your data

The data controller is Sintropy.ai S.r.l., via Cesare Mangili 2, 20121 Milan, Italy, VAT 13822990969. For anything concerning your data, write to support@sintropy.ai.

You can use the site without giving us anything

The Energy market and Live energy pages show public data about the energy market. Reading them requires nothing from you.

You can get an estimate by answering the questionnaire alone. The bill only makes the result more accurate, and is always optional.

The bill you upload

If you choose to upload it, the file (PDF or image) is read by an AI model that extracts the consumption data. From it we derive and keep:

• the POD code of the supply point
• the supply address, town and postcode
• the supplier and the billing period
• consumption in kWh, per time band, and amounts in euro

We also keep the original file as it is: if your bill carries your name, that name stays in the document we hold.

To read it, the file is processed by specialist artificial intelligence providers based in the United States: this is a transfer to a third country, governed by contractual safeguards. They do not use the document to train their models. You should know this before uploading, because the file leaves our systems.

If you want to know which providers, and under what safeguards, you have the right to ask: write to support@sintropy.ai and we will tell you.

If you would rather avoid that, do not upload the bill: the questionnaire alone still produces an estimate.

Your questionnaire answers

Annual consumption, power rating, type of use and the like stay in your browser to compute the estimate. We neither transmit nor store them.

How you browse, only if you agree

If you accept the banner, we use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to learn which pages help and where people get stuck. If you decline, those scripts are never loaded: the site works exactly the same.

Even when you agree, the questionnaire area is masked in recordings: what you type and your bill data never reach Clarity.

Regardless of the banner, our server keeps a daily count of how many pages it serves and which site or campaign they came from, as a total. It does not log your IP address, uses no cookies, and does not keep the identifier advertising platforms append to the link: it notes that one was there, not which one. It tells us whether a campaign is worth its cost, and no person can be traced from those numbers.

Your email, if you leave it

At the end of the comparison you can leave an email address. We use it only if you ask, by ticking the consent box, and only for this: a summary of your bills (the cheapest offer, how much you save, when your terms expire) and one alert when the economic terms of your contract are about to expire. With the paid Monitoring plan we also write when a cheaper offer than yours appears.

We keep the address, the date and text of the consent you accepted, and the link between your email and the supply points (POD) of the bills you uploaded. No passwords: to sign in you receive a link that lasts thirty minutes and works once.

You can withdraw at any time: from your page you can delete email, links and bills together, with one button. We do not pass the address to anyone, and we do not use it for anything else.

If you buy a plan

Paid plans (Bill check, Monitoring) are paid through PayPal, with an account or a card. Payment data is collected by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., an independent controller under its own notice; we receive only the order id, the outcome and a payer code. No card number ever passes through us.

Before paying you tick a request for immediate performance of the service: we keep the text you ticked, its version, the time, the IP address and the browser as proof of consent, together with the payment, for the ten years of accounting obligations.

With the Bill check you upload up to fourteen bills per site (electricity and gas at the same address) into the drawer: the same rules as for a single bill apply, reading included, and the same 24-month retention. The report stays on your page and we also email it to you; it is deleted with your account.

Where the data sits, and for how long

Data is held on servers in Germany, inside the European Union.

We keep your bill for 24 months from upload, after which it is deleted automatically: the original file, the data we derived from it, and every related record. Twenty-four months is the window over which comparing how offers move makes sense; beyond that, the data is of no further use to us.

You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time, without giving a reason.

Your rights

You may ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, erase it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format, and to object to the processing.

Write to support@sintropy.ai. We answer within one month. If you believe we are getting it wrong you may complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority.

To delete a bill we need its identifier: if you did not note it down, write to us with the POD or the period and we will find it.
